2017 SWS AAPG
Ingrain will be exhibiting at the 2017 SWS AAPG Conference on May 1st at Horseshoe Arena in Midland, Texas. We will be also presenting a "Multi-Scale Reservoir Characterization Case Study in the Midland Basin". The results presented in this study investigate these organic rich mudstones at multiple scales of investigation to obtain a robust petrophysical model for identifying both the best productive rocks and landing zones. Scales of investigation include well log data analysis, core lab measurements, and digital rock analysis (DRA). With such diverse data, we obtain a complete set of rock properties which includes key parameters for reservoir assessment. Some key parameters are clay content, TOC, pores associated with organic matter (PHIOM), pores associated with minerals (PHIM), clay bound water porosity (CBW), and permeability.
Join us to discuss how this method helped quantifying pore types and fluid distribution along the cored interval under study and how this can be used to optimize the target landing zone. Sign up here
