April 8-11 | SPE Saudi Arabia Section Annual Technical Symposium & Exhibition

The ATS&E is the largest geoscientists and petroleum engineers gathering in Saudi Arabia. It is organized by the Saudi Arabian Section of SPE. The event is held in Al Khobar near the headquarters of Saudi Aramco. The Symposium is a very well-attended regional event which attracted more than 3000 attendees in the year 2011. It is a fee-free event where no registration fees are required. The event also offers free courses as part of its pre-event activities program. International participants are encouraged to register as early as possible to arrange for visa processing.

The 2012 ATS&E is a call for new upstream technologies, gathering lessons learned from exploring new unconventional resources in the Middle East and, more importantly, it is a call for all international partners to come and share their experience with us. Locally, the year 2012 is a different year where we are exploiting new frontiers such as the Red Sea. It is also time to gather thoughts, experience and lessons learned from our tight gas reservoirs. This is a new venture requiring advanced technologies in all areas including: exploration, drilling and production. Moreover, the Symposium this year calls for innovative technologies in shale gas including: exploration, drilling and production. Thus, synergy between academia, service companies and oil companies has never been more essential than today.
