Marcus.png Marcus Ganz Chief Executive Officer

Marcus Ganz joins Ingrain after 29 years of international experience at WesternGeco and Schlumberger. Ganz's experience spans many countries and regions around the globe.  As a member of the executive team managing WesternGeco over a period of four years he was VP of the Land product line and later VP & Regional Manager responsible for all activities in South America.  From 2006 to 2008 he was the General Manager of Schlumberger Oilfield Services for Argentina and Chile.  During this period he served on the Schlumberger Ltd. Business Conduct Group, a rotating team of senior managers responsible for the worldwide implementation and monitoring of the Schlumberger Code of Ethics.  Ganz holds a BSc. in physics from the University of Southampton, UK.

Barry Stewart Chief Financial Officer

Barry E. Stewart is the chief financial officer of Ingrain, Inc., a development stage company focused upon providing digital rock physics within the oil and gas services industry.   Ingrain is the third development stage company with whom Barry has been engaged, the prior two either successfully sold during an acquisition process or publicly listed during a public stock offering. He also has past service as a public company CFO, handling registration processes for both NASDAQ and NYSE offerings.  In addition to duties required with the SEC for all publicly traded registrants, Barry has served as a Public Company Director serving as the chair of the audit committee, as the chair of the compensation committee, and as a member of the corporate governance and nominating committee at differing times.  Mr. Stewart is an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.

Gary Sinclair  Regional Manager MENA

Gary Sinclair joins Ingrain with over 30 years experience in the core analysis industry.  He has worked with Core Laboratories, Fugro Robertson and ResLab, (Weatherford Laboratories) and has been responsible for laboratories in the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Egypt, and in the Middle East. His major areas of expertise include operations management, optimum core analysis study design, data evaluation and interpretation, project management, training and quality assurance. For the past 12 years he has been working exclusively in the Middle East as Regional Manager for ResLab where he was responsible for the set up and management of core analysis laboratories in Abu Dhabi, Oman and Kuwait. Serving as Ingrain’s regional manager to the Middle East and North Africa, Sinclair will be responsible for the launch of Ingrain's digital rock physics in those areas.

Boaz Nur  Vice President of Operations

Working at the intersection of the operations, software development, and earth science teams, Boaz Nur is responsible for client project management, hardware and software implementation, and results delivery.  Nur has been with the company since its inception and holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Colorado.

Avrami Grader Chief Scientist 

Dr. Avrami Grader is an expert in multi-phase flow in porous media and formerly a professor at PennState in the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering. Dr. Grader’s research focused on two- and three-phase flow in porous media, transient pressure analysis with its effect on well testing and on reservoir engineering water influx problems, and multi-phase flow dynamics in the near wellbore domain including wellbore mechanics. He has provided consulting services in the field of X-ray CT imaging and image processing and analysis, including work in Germany, Brazil and the U.S. Dr. Grader holds a Ph.D. in petroleum engineering from Stanford University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of AIME. He also is author or co-author of 45 referred articles and/or published bound proceedings.


Elizabeth.png Elizabeth Diaz Chief Geoscientist

Elizabeth Diaz is an expert in the application of rock physics and quantitative seismic interpretation techniques, evaluating and risking the presence of reservoir rocks and hydrocarbons on multiple exploration and appraisal projects worldwide (Nigeria, Brazil, Libya, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Peru, Ecuador, USA, and Colombia). Prior to Ingrain, Elizabeth was senior geoscientist with Shell International Exploration and Production Inc. Previously, she held technical roles at Occidental Oil & Gas, Halliburton, and Grant Geophysical. At Stanford Rock Physics Laboratory, she conducted rock physics research on the effect of glauconite on the elastic properties, porosity, and permeability on reservoir rocks. She is member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Mrs. Diaz holds a B.S. in Geology from Universidad Industrial de Santander and a M.S. in Geophysics from Stanford University.

Carl Sisk  Chief Reservoir Engineer

Carl Sisk is an expert in numeric simulation of oil and gas reservoirs from the formation to the sales line. He has worked as both a production and reservoir engineer onshore and offshore on projects ranging from exploration discovery wells to CO2 IOR projects on a wide variety of formations. He started in the oil industry with Amoco Production Company in 1978 after obtaining a BS EE degree from the Missouri School of Mines. Carl worked in Egypt for GUPCO three years and spent four years in Stavanger Norway working for first, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and then Amoco Norway. Carl has also worked in the research group of Amoco and then BP for 7 years until he went back to reservoir engineering on the Wamsutter field tight gas field. He held a variety of engineering management positions within Amoco and BP. He retired from BP in April of 2009 after 32 years of combined service with Amoco/BP. He joined Ingrain in June of 2009 and is heavily involved in the upscaling aspects of digital rock physics as well as being on the management team.  Carl is an active member of SPE involved in Forum Series committees, technical presentations and papers.

Jonas Tölke  Chief Computational Software Development

Dr. Jonas Tölke is an expert in numerical simulation of multi-phase flow in porous media and formerly a professor at Technische Universtät Braunschweig in the Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Tölke’s research has focused on the design, the implementation and verification of simulation engines for multi-phase flow on Supercomputers and other high performance computing hardware. Before joining Ingrain he provided consulting services in the field of multi-phase simulations and worked as director for research software engineering at Exa Corp. Dr. Tölke holds PhD  in engineering from Technische Universität München and a “Venia Legendi” (Habilitation) in computational engineering in fluid mechanics from Technische Universität Braunschweig. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and was guest editor for a special issue on multi-phase simulation in porous media.

Joel Walls  Director Technical Resources for Unconventional Reservoirs

Dr. Joel Walls is a geophysicist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the research, development, launch, and sale of advanced technology products and services for oil and gas exploration and production. While completing his doctoral work for Dr. Amos Nur in the Stanford Rock Physics Project in 1982, he co-founded Petrophysical Services Inc., which was acquired by Litton Core Laboratories in 1984. He served as Director of the Dallas Advanced Technology Center for Core Lab until 1990 when he formed the software company PetroSoft Inc., in San Jose, CA. PetroSoft merged with two other software companies to form Rock Solid Images (RSI) in 1998. He served in several executive positions, including VP of Business Development and VP of Technology. RSI was acquired by Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping (OHM) in 2007.He then served as VP, Chief Petrophysicist, and Shale Venture Leader for Object Reservoir from 2008 to 2010.Dr. Walls joined Ingrain in 2010 as Director, Technical Resources for Unconventional Reservoirs with responsibility for developing and commercializing services focused on shale and other unconventional reservoirs.

Joel was a co-founder and the first president of the Society of Core Analysts, and is also a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and Society of Petrophysicists & Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). He is the author of many publications in various geophysical and petrophysical journals, and holds a U.S. patent in the field of seismic reservoir characterization.

Dr. Walls holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in geophysics from Stanford University, and a B.S. in physics from Texas A&M University, Commerce.

Ted Zaleski  Chief Engineer

Ted Zaleski comes to Ingrain with 32 years of oilfield service company and E&P experience during which he developed extensive knowledge of well construction equipment and operations. He started in the oil industry with Amoco Production Company after obtaining a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.  In 1985 he went on to Baker Hughes where he spent 17 years in drilling and completions technology based senior management positions within the company. Prior to joining Ingrain, Zaleski served as Vice President of Technology at Smith Services responsible for product line development, support, and QA for Smith's drillstring and completions products and services.
